On their return from a well receptive couple of performances at The Isle of Wight annual scooter rally, The latter half of 2009 saw The Supertonics opening up shows for 'The Beat' (Ska Barn Blitz), The Blockheads (Kidderminster Town Hall) & headline the 'Ska Xmas Party' (Sound Bar, B'ham) alongside The Specials tour DJ Trevor Evans.
With upcoming shows at Brindley Place (Birmingham) & a return to I.O.W. Scooter Rally confirmed, the band are looking forward to finding out what 2010 has up its sleeve...?

The brass section doesn’t just blend, they tease, they antagonise. Steve Bray leads you on a journey down a dark and frenzied, yet well trodden brass paved path, with power and feeling. Closely shadowed by Chris Barber and Jango, always ready to inflict a tainted symphony of old school sax on the learned. The guitars stomp out a crescendo of cut throat rhythm and blues. Neil Archer seizes on any brief rest bite, beating, on an already choppy sea of energy, thrashing it up in to a Mel'ee of white peaked fury. Baron Webb brings the whole unruly pack to a polished head, gripping the tormented half dozen by the balls and squeezing out every last drop of soul like a vampiric raconteur. With vocals bridging the best of 5 decades, his harmonic cries sound out, riding high, above and beyond the norm, this is special… the Supertonics are not to be missed, they take two-tone and make it Technicolor."
